Gods Wall of Salvation

Hedge of Protection - Malachi Chapter 3

BUILDING A HEDGE OF PROTECTION: In Bible times, people used stones to build hedges for protection and blessing. The psalmist David spoke of an impenetrable hedge when he wrote: 'The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust' (Psalm 18:2).

The longer I serve Him, the more I understand that the safest place for anyone is in God's hands, hiding in His fortress and living within His hedge of protection. And it begins with a seed.

Isaiah 60:18 18 'Violence will not be heard again in your land, Nor devastation or destruction within your borders; But you will call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise [to God].

Genesis 8:8  And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;      Vs. 20 And Noah builded an altar unto the Lord; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

GOD REMEMERED NOAH – Gen. 8:1 'And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;

Noah Put God First; We are told  (Genesis 8:20 And Noah builded an altar unto the Lord; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

This was the first thing Noah did before he attended to any of the other things that needed to be done. He first set up the requirements for worship, and offered worship to God using some of the precious animals from the ark. Noah put God first. It was His personal sacrifice, Noah acknowledged God for bringing him through the flood! /God's judgement

  • You become very grateful when you know He has seen you through the flood!

Note: 'God remembered Noah' But God did not make nor release the promise until Noah worships God through the first fruits Tithes/offerings.

21 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

THE PROMISE: -  22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

The Harvest is seed multiplied: Gen. 1:29 '29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

Luke 6:38 Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.'

3 RINCIPLE OF THE SEED: The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come. Mark 4:26–29

1. You reap what you sow

2. You reap after you sow

3. You reap more than you sow.

The essence of this principle can be found in Psalm 126:5–6, which says, "Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him."

  • As this passage implies, the principle of harvest increase is so powerful that, even if you're crying as you scatter your little bag of precious seed, your tears will turn to rejoicing as you begin bringing in your sheaves of harvest.

WHEN YOU SOW SEED: Whatever you sow into it will come back to you it's a universal law better yet it's a kingdom law.

When you sow into good relationship you get great friends, When you sow into education..

When you sow into your church you get a great harvest!

WHEN WE SOW SEED WE SET OURSELVES UP TO BE IN ALIGNMENT WITH GOD'S BLESSINGS.

Gen 4:6-7  And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? 7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

  • Obedience places a hedge of protection in your life.
  • Disobedience makes you vulnerable to the enemy

GOD HARDENED THE HEART OF THE EGYPTIAN KING ; Gen. 15:14 'And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

He did this to strengthen their faith so that they could trust the Lord Himself and no other.

YOU WILL NOT COME OUT EMPTY HANDED: Exodus 3:19-22  And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand. 20 And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.  21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty.  22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.

Note: Consider this that not only did God release the Hebrews from

bondage but He transferred the nation of Egypts wealth to them. Pharoah realized that with the Hebrew went all the wealth of Egypt and he wanted his stuff back!

THE TRANSFER OF WEALTH: - You must maintain the level of faith when you had little to nothing and now when God has enlarged your capacity can you maintain that same level of faith intensity?

LEVELS OF TESTING:

1. Set your priorities right - God first, walk in integrity, make a plan

2. Don't worship what God has given you – make sure you give God what belongs to Him first ( like Noah when he built the altar of sacrifice)

Know that it is he who has brought you over your flood! This is how you make your statement of your commitment of worship, your worship Him not the stuff or money.

Note: Ask the two people for your money back and see if it comes back the same or multiplied?

Exodus 32:1-10 (must read)

YOUR WORSHIP OF GOD IS YOUR HEDGE OF PROTECTION:

When you love the Lord your God with all of your…. And have no other god's ….

Moses goes up the mountain to receive the law of God and the people took the gold off of themselves and their bags a made to themselves a golden calf /bull and began to worship the gold and not the God who gave it to them.

Moses comes down and crushes it and throws it into the water and the waters became bitter to drink,

Keep in mind that water is a life source that you cannot live with out.

'Hedge of Protection' - Malachi Chapter 3

Part III

2 Corinthians 9:6-12 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9As it is written: "They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever." 10Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 12This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the LORD's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

Seven Blessings of the 7 Sneazes (tithes and offerings)

Malachi 3:10 teaches: 'Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.'

Then the Lord promises, 'And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts' (verse 11).

SEVEN PROMISES
In the next verse, the Lord gives us this most remarkable promise: 'And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts' (verse 12). In this  portion of Scripture, we find the Lord's command to bring 'all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house.'

The Lord clearly tells every believer that the tithe belongs to Him and His work.

The Lord even challenges us to test Him: 'Prove me now herewith' (verse 10). This is the only time in Scripture that the Lord makes that offer. That is one of the most amazing invitations we have ever been given by the Lord Himself; that we, as God's people, can prove Him in this matter.

Following His challenge in Malachi 3:10, He then begins to give us the seven most amazing blessings of the tithe:

'If I will not open you the windows of heaven' (verse 10). The windows of heaven always deal with revelation, renewal. The Lord promises to revive every person who obeys Him.

God speaks light in your darkness. God is faithful even when we are not.

God will not allow a believer to give up in the hard times. Sometimes even a believer will try to run away from God, but they will not be able to escape the great light. God's light breaks through the darkness and brings them back to Him. We have hope in the Lord.

The devil will not claim us. God will never let us go. What is stronger than the light of the Almighty God? You might go through darkness and pain, but the light of the Lord will always come through in times of despair. Call on the name of Jesus. Seek the light.

Psalm 18:28 'For it is you who light my lamp; the LORD my God lightens my darkness.'

Micah 7:8 'Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.'

'And pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it' (verse 10). Think about it! God Almighty declares clearly in His Word that the tither will be prosperous—so prosperous, in fact, that there will not be room enough to receive the prosperity and blessings God has in store for the one who obeys Him.

Duet. 28;2-13  All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:

3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.

6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

8 The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

9 The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him.

10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you.

11 The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you. 12 The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.

13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

3.'I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes' (verse 11). Rebuke, means 'to cripple' or 'to paralyze.' God Almighty will actually cripple the enemy on your behalf when you tithe.

The tithe is so important to the Lord that He promises to paralyze and cripple the enemy so that he will not be able to touch your life!

'He shall not destroy the fruits of your ground' (verse 11). The 'fruits of your ground' refers to your money. The enemy will not be able to touch your money as a result of your obedience to the Lord in the tithe.

5 'Neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts' (verse 11).

It is remarkable that in John 15:5, Jesus said, 'I am the vine, ye are the branches.' The vine, therefore, means the family, and God gives this amazing promise to the tither when He says that the enemy will not touch your family, if you obey the Lord.

6 'All nations shall call you blessed' (verse 12). God will bless and prosper you so that the nations of the world will see the blessings of God upon you. In other words, you will be a mighty witness of the power and blessings of God.

7 'Ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts' (verse 12).

Delightsome means 'highly desired.' As you obey the Lord with the tithe, God will so highly desire you that He will use you.

These seven most amazing blessings of the tithe can be summarized:

• You will have restored, refreshed, renewed.
• You will experience great prosperity.
• The enemy will be crippled and will not touch your life.
• Your finances will be safe.
• Your family will be safe from the hand of the enemy.
• You will be a great witness of the power and blessings of the Lord to the nations.
• You will be highly desired, and God will use you for His glory!

Debt is broken by only one thing—giving to the Lord's work!

We want to see the Lord bless your life. It is your tithe that opens heaven, and it is your offering that brings prosperity your way. The Lord requires both, the tithe (at least 10 percent) and the offering (extra money that the Lord directs you to give). We cannot be blessed without the tithe, and we cannot see abundance without both the tithe and the offering.

The Lord clearly states in His Word to give both tithes and offerings.

Today, give both to the Lord. Sow your seed. And as you give your tithe and sow your seed-offering this month, lay your hands on that seed and claim the seven supernatural promises of Malachi 3.
